What did you think of this movie?
I liked it, except the ending sucked. I wanted to see what happened.
Like probably every other teenager in the world, we even made our own "Blair Witch"

I never made my own blair witch...... I LOVED this movie. One of my all time favourites. A friend recommended I go see it so I took my stepsister Jenny and we went to the theatre. I wanted to leave around the time that they opened up that little sack made of that guys shirt full of bloody teeth. I was so scared. We always go camping and so I could really feel that fear of being all alone in the middle of nowhere. That night I don't think I could sleep a wink all I could hear was that witch and I could see her in every moving shadow. I didn't camp for 4 years after that. I liked the ending and the fact that we never really saw the witch, that way it is left to our imaginations what it was and we could each imagine our own worst scenario. I thought it was a brilliant movie.

I went camping with the hubby once and he went off fishing and I made a bunch of those stick things and left piles of rocks and left them for him to find them around the campsite . He didn't think it was funny.....at all. He called me immature which is soo not even close to the truth. ;D

I saw this when it came out. I was under the impression when I went that it was real. (duh me) But we get to the theater (it's a midnight showing) and they've got the people with tickets for the Blair Witch lined up separately on the left side. They march us all to the theater room, stop, check everyone's ID (if you were under 18 they made you leave), then let us in. At midnight the movie just started, no fanfare, no previews, no commercials, nothing like that. And it scared the crap out of me at the time. I had to drive an hour home after that movie, alone, and I was jumpy the whole way. That reaction wore off quickly, of course, but at the time it was kinda fun.

[glow=blue,2,300]Seems I'm always behind on renting current movies, so when I went to rent BWP, the manager showed me a special: It cost about four dollars to rent the movie, but only three to buy it; they had a crazy sale going on, so I bought it.
I thought it was pretty awesome, considering the budget and concept. I liked the ending, too. Our imaginations will always top Hollywood .. that's why the book versions of movies are usually so much better -- because our imaginations are better, and work on a grander scale.
For example, I'm committed to the fact I'll never see a decent version of the Dune trilogy, although the SciFi Channel "Children of Dune" did a nicer job than most. And the deeper one gets into the "Harry Potter" movies, the more one realizes how much of the books are left out, which can be a tetch annoying, although I love both the books and the movies.[/glow]

We always imagine what would be our own personal worst case scenario. That to me is what makes it so scary.

I just watched it again. I guess with Halloween coming they are playing all the good ole horror movies. I still say the ending was stupid. He's standing in a corner....big whoop! He isn't even slouching too much or looking weird. He's just standing there. Blah!
