It looks really interesting and I like will Smith movies. I don't know how I am going to handle the scene where his dog gets taken.

Well you know the dog is going to die, that's a given. It's going to be so sad and I'll cry like a baby. That pup was all he had left in the world. I'll cry, now you can admit it too.

I am not sure though if it was called "I Am Legend" or not though. I also read that there were two movies loosely based on the books as well. Omega Man and The Last Man On Earth or something close to that.

I bought the book last night. My brother told me he read it and it was excellent. So I'm going to give it a shot. I'm half way through a boring book so I'm gonna put that one on hold and start up this one tonight.

Kris said he read it in high school and that it was good. He said it had a real vampire vibe about it. Sounds good. Let me know if you like it.

I read the book too, liked it a lot. Richard Matheson is one of the most prolific writers in Hollywood. he wrote for the Twilight Zone, Night Gallery and Alfred Hitchcock's show as well as writing The Legend of Hell House, What Dreams May Come, Stir of Echoes and The Incredible Shrinking Woman (and now Man). Check him out on IMDB

I didn't realize when I bought the book though that it was I am Legend and a bunch of other short stories. I was thinking towards what I didn't know was the end how he was going to get out his predicament and then the next chapter is the damn Zuni Fetish Doll story from Trilogy Of Terror. Oh they fooled me! Bastards! ;D

I'm going through a real book phase lately. I have to be reading something or else I feel lost. I'm running out of good book ideas though.

Did you go see it this weekend Angie?? My brother downloaded it for my mom (he found an AWESOME copy of it on the net, looked like it would watching it on any normal DVD) and made me a copy so I got to watch it Friday night. I loved it, thought it was great. The book of course was much better and I do wish the movie went more along the lines of the book but I still really enjoyed the movie. Won't say more until I know if you've seen it or not. Then we can DISCUSS!

I did see it! I thought it was great! I was heartbroken when Sam was killed though. I also liked that he was slowly losing his mind. I haven't been able to read the book yet. Kris read it in high school and was commenting on how different it was. We talked about buying the book and reading it and then I will see what you both are talking about. Did you like it? ?? Kiki went with us to see it. Didn't even scare her. Also we both woke up in the middle of the night and watched the exorcist. She also thought it wasn't scary. What a kid.

you need a *SPOILERS* on top of your last post. ***SPOLIERS***** I was sad when Sam died epsecially since he had to kill her himself. But the part that got me was after that scene when he was int eh video store and finally got the guts to talk to the mannequin and he was like "Just say hello" or whatever it was he saidf. And then when he said "I promised my friend I would talk to you today" That tugged at my ciold hearted heart. ;D I bought the book and it only cost $7. And iuts got a bunch of other stories in it as well. It's worth it!
