I thought Cursed was alright. It wasn't scary but it had Joshua Jackson as a werewolf. Wait a minute, I take that back. Cursed was the best movie in the whole world! Ya, it kinda sucked didn't it? House of The Dead was really bad too.

I kind of liked Halloween 3 at th etime it came out. I know that Michael wasn't in it but those masks were creepy (kept me from putting a full mask on for a few years) and that Halloween jingle (3 more days til halloween, halloween, halloween. Three more days til halloween. Silver Shamrock!) I still sing that damn song.
I also liked the Wicker Man. The ending was good.
Stephen King's 'Thinner' wasn't scary in the least.
I still want to see 'The Happening'. I know that i'll be disappointed but I'm going to give it a chance anyways.

I haven't seen quite a few on that list. I will take exception to Halloween III and Thinner being on the list.
Okay, maybe Halloween III isn't scary in the classic sense of the word but it does have some scary moments and there's something about the colors in the film that make me want to watch it every time it comes on. In fact, I shall guiltily admit right here that I purchased this film this year as I found it languishing in the bargain bin at Wal Mart. I couldn't resist. Maybe that's its power.
Whoever wrote that Yahoo page completely overlooked the point of Thinner. Like Frankenstein, it's about setting things into motion that we (as a species) have only a very little understanding of. Also, it's about the power of the seemingly powerless. I guess the writer was absent on the day the English professor discussed allegory.
Finally, I'd agree that 'The Happening' wasn't scary. It was definitely good though and I appreciated the message Shyamalan was trying to convey.
MG, if you liked Wicker Man PLEASE check out the original. It's a bit dated but it tells the story in a much better way IMHO.

I haven't seen either Wicker Man movie (even though I own the remake) and I haven't seen any Halloween film (with the exception of the original and the remake) since I was kid. You can yell at me now.

I will watch the original Wicker man Swampie. It took me awhile to watch the remake and with a blockbuster and a Rogers Video within 100 feet of my house I have no excuses. The originals are usually better. Holls you need to get moving on the Halloween sequels.
