I have a feeling that this thread is going to get alot of action now that all the new shows are starting and the old shows are on again. Are you watching any of the new ones? Last night a new show called 'The Event' started. I think it's the new 'Lost'. Lots of confusion and jumping back and forth through time but so far it looks pretty good AND it stars Jon Ritter's son Jason. Boy he looks like his Dad! I PVR'd it. Haven't had a chance to watch it yet. I wasn't going to watch it but it's gotten so much hype. I hope it's good. Here's what's recording on my PVR weekly so far: Grey's Anatomy Cougar Town The Event DWTS Dr. Oz ( I admit it, it's good) Monsterquest (lol!) Destination Truth (again, lol!) LA Ink Kirstie Alley's Big Life (I wonder when it's coming back) Californication Hung True Blood Tori and Dean (shut up!) United States of Tara Conspiracy Theories w/ Jesse Ventura ( haven't seen one yet but I hope it's good)

Okay so I know it's not on your list but Modern Family is a really good show too. It's one show that Kiki and I like to watch together. I so regret not watching Grey's Anatomy.

Oh, we watch Whale Wars too. The season just ended last night. No. Modern family is a sitcom so you don't need to have watched teh first season to get it. It is about a family - the first ones are a couple in their late 30's with three kids then there is the brother in law who is married to another man and they adopted a baby girl from China. Then there is the grandparents - the Grandpa is Ed O'Neill (Al Bundy from Married with Children) and he married a young Columbian wife with a son. The family is disfunctional but funny as hell - hope you get to check it out! I miss Jericho too. Speaking of which - there is a new series starting on Discovery in the new year - we have been watching it online called 'The Colony'. It is already in it's second season, but it's like survivor and every new season has a new group of people and a new scenario. In each season there is a new global catastrophe in which the group needs to survive after the fact - here is a link - Kris and I love this show. dsc.discovery.com/tv/colony/about/colony.html

I remember you talking about that one before. I think I will tape it and see if I like it. Sounds like something I would like.
We recorded a bunch of shows last month when it was end of the world days or whatever they called it on Discovery. One is called "The World After Humans" and it's about what would happen to the animals, buildings, dams and a bunch of stuff if humans weren't around to up keep them.

I tried watching that and couldn't get into it. It was neat to see how things would deteriorate but I was bored after a half an hour. I like it better when humans are still left, but only a few - like 'The Road' and 'I am Legend'. Hey! Did you know that they are making a prequel movie to I am Legend? How cool is that?

I haven't checked out Dexter yet. I want to watch them from the beginning. With the new computer though I should be able to download them though. I'll have to look into that!

I was thinking about checking that one out. Any good? I like it. The guy is an idiot though and the new 'wife' is young and hot so the other wives aren't very pleased. ha ha ha. Makes for good TV. Check it out. I think the season is short though.
