Those stupid garbage men who empty all the bins and then just toss them and the lids onto the road and driveway. The bins end up all muddy and dirty and I have to wash them weekly. Can they not just set them back down nicely??? Why can't they fully empty the recycle bins? They always leave stuff in them like they don't have time to do their jobs correctly. Does this happen in your neck of the woods? This happens all the time in my neck of the woods!!!! I always have to hunt down my lids off the road and we live on a pretty busy road so you would think they would know better. They'll do it even if your in the drive way too. And leaving stuff in the recycling bags. Ooooooohhhhh! We get a blue box for plastics and a yellow bag for cardboard and a blue bag for newspaper. Is that how yours works?

Ours works almost the same. Here's what I have; A garbage can that holds two full bags every second week and these have to have a tag that we get 40 of each year. Each additional tag is $1.50. Then we have the black box which is like most people's blue box. Then we have a smaller blue bin for cardboard/boxboard. Then we bag plastic bags and bag newspaper/magazines. Then we have a green compost bin.
I swear it takes me 4 trips just to get it all to the end of the driveway.
Do you guys have compost bins out there that the garbage guys pick up?

We are allowed two big garbage cans that hold quite a bit, I'm not sure how big they are. Those are free for pick-up. We've never run out of garbage room so I'm not sure how much the extra tags are. We were given two compost stickers which we stick on another two big size garbage cans and we can put weeds, branches that kind of thing in it. We don't get any kind of food compost pick up but have a composter out back. Everything is free and pick up is every Tuesday for all of it. Your garbage sucks out there!!! ;D I know how you feel about taking 4 trips to the end of the driveway. Some days we have 4 garbage can (garbage and compost) and then blue bin and the bags. Also with the recycling bags/blue box we can have as many as we want out there, we just have to buy the bags/blue box for a couple of bucks at the Township. You're getting a bum deal.

One for under the kitchen counter to put daily scraps and a huge bin outside to dump the daily bin or to put larger compostables. Is that what you mean?
