I agree with Becky (even with her WEIRD glowing writing). There is so much disagreement with the 'ghost boy' picture. Missy confirmed that that was the little boy that her and Jodie used to play with.
Unfortunately most people are judging by the crappy pixelated copy floating around the net. If you watch the documentaries where they show the photo and zoom on it, you will notice that there are no glasses. Many have stated that the 'ghost boy's' eyes glow due to the glasses and it was a night vision/infrared camera. I'm not sure if they had that technology in 1976 but if they did I highly doubt anyone involved in the investigation had the type of equipment. Any articles or documentaries I have seen have only claimed it to be a time-lapse camera. Plus looking at the dark doorways in the photo and also that the light on the second floor landing is on rules out infrared/night vision photography.

I never thought of that before and it makes sense. I am going to have to watch that doc again to take another good look at that pic. Lately I have just been going by that one online.

There's a few "real" ghost photos where the ghost has the same glowing eyes. Like this one. But now that I look at it, it could be a case of some really bushy white eyebrows.

There are still a few things that I take into account when judging whether Amityville is a horror or a hoax. 1). Most important to me is the testimony of Mary Pascarella Downey. She's very genuine, never sought fame or fortune, and has a proven record as a psychic. She says something is/was going on in the house, I have trouble doubting her considering her credibility. (by the way, be patient with the linked MP3, it starts after annoying bumper music). 2). The money trail has never been adequately explained enough to make me dismiss the whole thing as a hoax for money. 3). The Lutz's personalities/character. They just don't seem like liars to me and the polygraph agrees.

I just watched a somewhat new documetary about Amityville. It was on Discovery Channel last week. I taped it last minute and if I would of known sooner I would of given you a heads up.
It's was pretty good. Some footage I have never seen...or maybe I have and just forgot about it. Kinda makes me want to re-read some of my books again.....maybe watch a few movies.

Although it's strange that my prior fascination with Amityville became less and less the more that I knew about it. Also when George and Kathy both died it ruined it for me.

Sweet....sure I'll lend you the cash. We can buy it together, live in together and scare the crap out of each other. I call the red room as my bedroom. I know it's small and all but hello......demonic forces come from there. IT'S MINE! Unless of course the mirrors are still up in the master bedroom....then I might fight you for that one.

Oh wow, it's even got photos from what the house looks like now. What's up with the furniture and god awful wallpaper and curtains. No wonder there has been no reported haunted activity.....the ghosts ran away from the patterns!
No photos of the bedrooms either I see.
