[/quote] Not I. I went to Disneyland when I was 9 and to Texas awhile back. Other than hopefully another trip to both of those places I am pretty much staying put. Unless I win the lottery, that might be a different story.

I thought that you were coming to Ontario to visit me? Or is that if you win the lottery?

Nope I don't mind at all. It all started about this time last year. My first symptom of the herniated disk was the tip of my thumb was numb 24/7 and my whole arm would feel as if it fell asleep at the drop of a hat. It would go back to normal & then happen again randomly. I had my yearly physical scheduled in March so I waited until then to tell my doctor about it. He figured it was probably a pinched nerve and wanted to start out with the least invasive treatment so he suggested massage therapy. It was great but didn't help. Then I went to the chiropractor. He got the numbness to go away & the falling asleep feeling to stop but then I began having horrible pain and muscle stiffness in my shoulder blade and into the shoulder & upper arm. Finally after wasting a lot of time at the chiropractor I went & had an MRI. That showed the problem disk plain as day. So I went to have a consult with the neuro-surgeon and he said surgery was the best bet. I was scared to death since I had not spent a night in the hospital since I was born, but the surgery went really well. I only had to spend one night so that was good. Honestly the recuperation was much easier then I expected. The first few weeks I was really sore and for the first 4 weeks I had to wear a neck brace 24/7 except in the shower. Since the 4th week I only needed to wear the brace while I was in the car just to be safe. Now for the past 2 weeks I haven't had to wear it at all. And I go back to work next week. We have no idea why it happened. I haven't been in a major accident & I do accounting work at a Credit Union so it wasn't work related. The doctor said sometimes it just happens. I had been in a few fender benders over 15 years ago & he said it could have gotten out of whack way back then & overtime it just got to the point where it was pinching the nerve & that is why I had so much pain. But we'll never really know. So that is the jist of it. Not too bad but I am happy that it is over. I do not have any of the symptoms anymore & my plate and screws are so small & made out of titanium that I should not set off metal detectors at the airport ;D. That's a good thing!

Wow that sounds like quite an ordeal. I can't even imagine having to go through that but I am glad for you that it is over now and that you are back on the horse again. Are you happy to be going back to work? Ironically I am an accounting graduate as well. I was working on my designation (while working in the field) when I decided to take a few years off to stay at home with my daughter. We had just moved to a new city and she had alot of problems with the move. So for now I am doing home daycare (which I took most of my ECE in my first round of school). I'll get back into accounting eventually. I really like numbers and solving problems and I know my bank card, SIN #, bank account #'s and phone numbers from friends from 25 years ago.

I would have to say yes & no about going back to work. But mostly yes. Being somewhat newly separated & having my personal life be a little out of whack having all this time to myself has been hard. Especially the holidays. Plus having nothing but time to think about things can be a bad thing for me. I tend to over analyze things & drive myself crazy. But also having some time to catch up on some reading, movies, TV and sleeping in has been nice too. Really getting some "me" time, you know? Actually I do Accounting work but I never took Accounting! I was a Communications major in college. Math was never my subject, I even failed Algebra twice in high school but I think it had more to do with my being a somewhat rebellious teen (not too bad though) and really not liking the teacher. I never knew what I wanted to be be "when I grew up". Still don't and I am almost 34 When it was time to decide what I wanted to study in college I had no idea. Communications sounded fun, and it was. Still it was such a broad field from radio, TV, photography, film, advertising etc.... I never learned enough about one concentration to know what direction I wanted to go in. Plus if you are not in a big city the jobs are kind of few & far between. So when I graduated college I needed a job & health insurance, I had a friend working at the credit union & she got me in. I have been there for 10 and half years now. I like my co workers, I have good benefits, it's close to home so it works out well for me but I still can't imagine doing it for the rest of my life but I can't imagine doing anything for the rest of my life. So for now it's all good I suppose.

I have a fetish for painting my toenails. I never paint my fingernails but my toes are always painted some bright colour. Right now they're bright blue. ;D

That's funny - me too. My toenails are a dark cherry red right now.
Do you get manicures or pedicures?

I hate people touching my feet. I can't stand it.
I had one pedicure a year or two ago at some fancy spa. I hated every moment of it. Never had a manicure either.

OK now this is just too much,,,me three! ;D My toes are ALWAYS painted, very rarely do I paint my finger nails. My toes are a deep wine red right now. I have gotten a pedicure once before & I don't mind other people touching my feet but I found that I do a better job myself. It might not be as relaxing as having someone else rub & scrub them but I put the extra effort to make them as perfect as possible unlike how someone else might treat me. Does that make sense?

I've worn them all year on and off. So they're still fitting fine (or at least that I noticed!) My favourite jeans in the whole world are getting a bit loose though. WAHOO!!! I haven't tried on any shorts or anything yet. I don't want to, I think I've bulked up a bit this past year and the my favourite jeans are just getting worn.

I have a fetish for shopping. ;D ;D ;D ;D And hot baths and capri pants Ditto!!! Except I don't get around to taking baths as much as I would like too! Lately I have been crazy about eating hummus & pita bread & drinking flavored seltzer water. Not sure why! Let's see, I am obsessed with buying hair care products lately.
