The media continues to warn us but all I've seen is about 1/2" of rain, some clouds and mostly sun. We REALLY need the rain... but not the expense of people being uprooted so I hope it just results in a gentle and prolonged rain for the whole region

What the heck is Dolly? Is it a hurricane? Don't get too many newspapers at the campsites so I'm kinda not with the "now" at the moment.

So this is what I've been doing all day. This is fort #5. Not as good as the first ones though. I've lost my thunder with this one and the girls have been playing in it for awhile. The first one went down the hallway and then some. This fort is the cool place to hang out and play Barbie. You know want to be there!!! You can be Ken. Nobody ever wants to be Ken.

Ken is a tool. Useless manflesh who exists only to serve. If it were up to me I'd be G.I. Joe and I'd storm Barbie land. Ken would polish my boots and Barbie would polish my... medals.

Cool fort. I won't show my kids that or else they'll think that my two blanket fort isn't good enough anymore! ;D

I'm sick of forts. That's all they want to do. It's driving me nuts. ;D

Today I set up a series of tents that I have with a tunnel running from one to the other. It was something I bought for $15 bucks a year or two ago - kids think it's the greatest thing since toopie and binoo. Now my blankets can stay in the linen closet!

I had something like that last year. It was just two tents with one tunnel through the them. My kids only thought it was cool when the oldest boy chased them through the tunnel. Then a windstorm came in the middle of the night and destroyed it. I bought this castle looking tent from Ikea and the kids absolutely love it. I keep it in the playroom and take it down after a month or two and bring it back out after a couple of months and it's like a brand new thing. Best thing I've ever bought from Ikea.

Okay
Back from Galveston and various family related events. The trip was a drag as far as ghost hunting went. We got a couple of orb pics but not at all like last time.
My son pointed out that we didn't go with a large group this time... he may be on to something.
So, i'm gonna go catch up on what you two have been up to.

Hiding under the bridge? LOL! My son doesn't want to go to Galveston anymore unless we have something specific planned in the way of a hunt. He wants to go to different places each time. As such, on a patch of moonlit road close to me legend says that if one were to drive it on a midnight clear and park one's car on a certain bridge one might witness an odd event or two. We shall see...

That's some icky looking creek water. You're nearby and haven't checked this place out yet? I'm shocked? When are you going, make sure you take lots of batteries for your camera! Can I come?
