I watched it last night. I'm curious if the DVD would work in your player Ang. The DVD's sometimes don't play in certain players for whatever reason. I would totally mail you my copy!!
I don't want to give away too much. I wasn't totally impressed with it last night but this morning I thought it was much better than I had thought last night. Almost like I had to let it sink in. The ending I saw which isn't the same ending my brother saw in the theaters was pretty good. I just have to find out what ending he saw because this one was good. Predictable if you think about it throughout the movie but still a good one.
My verdict......go see it but don't go out of your way for it. I'm glad I never drove into Vancouver for it but dont' regret watching it at home.

My friend makes me kids movies dvd burned from the computer, our dvd player is fairly new so it's plays all that. I wouldn't complain if per say I opened my mailbox one day to find it and maybe that book too. The movie won't be coming around here and I won't be travelling too far away to see it. I have been hearing alot about it lately and I am still excited!

We have a PD day tomorrow too. I hate making lunches so I am happy about that. Although Kiki is the most work out of all the kids when she is home. I am constantly telling her not to get the kids hyper. She thinks she can lay on the couch all day snacking and watching Family channel. I'll have her changing diapers - ha ha ha

I hate making lunches too. I thought I would love it but it's hard making it new and fun every day. Lunchables are great though!

We decided to go and see Paranormal Activity on Friday night. There was a 7:15 show in the next city over, about a 20 minute drive. We made it there at 6:45 to see that it had been sold out so we bought 3 tickets for the 10:15 show.
We decided to getto the theatre at 9:00 just to make sure we could get seats together and that is when we joined the long line up for seats. There were atleast 40 people in front of us but we managed to get really good isle seats about half way up the seating. Kiki, who is a horror movie champ, has watched every scary movie out there and is never affected so I thought this would be a good test for her.
Finally, 10:15 arrives and after the loooong preveiws the movie started. I'd say maybe 10 - 15 people ended up leaving after the shadow on the door part. One, a grown man said 'aw hell I can't watch this kind of shit' and left. There was one screamer. Anyways we lasted the whole movie and I have to say that I LOVED it. I thought it was just perfect. The couple looked average, as did the house and even the attic was creepy in a realistic way. I was most impressed with the dragging Katie out of bed scene and when she just stood at teh side of the bed for hours at a time. Creep factor was 100% for that.
Kiki was freaked out. This one scared her and she picked the movie apart the whole way home asking questions about demons and hauntings.
SO good. I really enjoyed it. Now I am wondering what the ending on your dvd is like? Is it different than the theatre version?

I'm glad you liked it. I can't believe people were screaming and leaving the theater though. Am I so jaded?? What's wrong with me. lol
SPOILERS!!!!!!
Katie wakes up (or whatever) and stands by the bed for hours. Then goes downstairs. You hear her screaming and buddy boy wakes up and runs downstairs, then you hear him screaming and everything goes quiet. You hear the footsteps coming up the stairs after a few minutes and Katie appears in the doorway holding a big ass knife and is covered in blood. She sits by the side of the bed and starts to rock. Hours pass...the phone rings, people knock at the door. Like 2 days later or something she is still rocking, hasn't moved. Then you hear her friend come in the house calling for them. She starts screaming because she obviously found the guy. Then the cops show up and the back bedroom light flicks on. They come up the stairs and see katie and she snaps out of it and starts screaming "where's Micah" while she's flinging around the knife. As she's coming towards the cops with the knife freaking out about her boyfriend the door behind the cops slams shut and the cop shoots her. And that is pretty much it.
There used to be a Youtube video of that ending but last I heard they took it down. If you keep an eye out you can probably find another one. I saw the theater ending when Micah gets thrown against the camera and I definitely think the one with the cops was way better. Loved how she rocked for days on end.
There names were Katie and Micah right? I can't remember. LOLOL!

Whoa....that ending does sound better. I am going to try and find it on youtube later. I wasn`t totally impressed with the theatre ending either but I thought the movie was so good. I have an attic just like that and have now blocked the closet door closed that accesses the one. I tell you if I ever find the attic door askew I will freak out. I still won`t sleep with my feet hanging out near the end of the bed either.
I read the reviews at find a death. HATERS.

Our attic is like that too. It's right in view from my bed too just down the hallway. Oh man if you lived here......the tricks I could play!!!! When she got pulled from the bed, that was pretty good. I guess I was just expecting more. I didn't hate it but I wasn't scared. That makes me kinda sad. I like to be scared. I guess to scare me you have to have two creepy girls standing at the end of a hallway telling me to come play with them. I'm scared just thinking about it.

Took the fam to the movies to watch part two. Looking for something to get us in the Halloween spirit. I have been looking forward to this movie for a few months now. I loved part one. I must say that I was a little disappointed. It wasn't nearly as scary - maybe due to the facts that they used the same tricks from part one. I did like how they tied in the storyline from the first to the second. I also liked the very end just before the credits which I won't give away but it was a genius move. I was afraid to get out of my seat and walk towards the screen.

I hope that you like it! You weren't crazy about the first one though right? You'll have to let me know what you think. It is always better at the cinema for sure. I saw part one at the cinema and loves it then I watched it at home on the satellite and it wasn't nearly as scary.

I was bored watching Paranormal Activity 2. The last half hour though wasn't too bad....when everything kinda ties together. But the first hour and a bit was almost like watching the exact same movie just in a different house. I wasn't too impressed.
