no tree yet. This weekend.
Kris wants to dive to this tree farm 45 mins from here to go on a wagon ride, wade through the snow and then cut our own tree. I'd rather drive down the street and buy one out of a lot.
I got my first Christmas card today though ands it hangs all lonely up on the wall.

Okay tree is in the house. This is my least favourite part of the holidays. We get a real tree. It makes a mess. It's too tall for our livingroom. Kris gets all pissy because we have a crappy tree stand that we have sworn for the past 6 years that we would get a new one the following year. I was sitting nicely curled up in my chair watching 'Dan in Real Life' and in comes Kris with the tree and drips snow all over me and my chair and gets needles everywhere. It's not even the kind of tree that I like. Anyways now he is at home depot buying (not a new stand like any smart person might buy) but a hook for the ceiling to atach the tree to. Right now I am supposed to find a spot for the tree only I am sick of it already. Maybe I'll like it more after it's decorated. Next year I want a fake one.  |

I didn't know they made anything so morbid. lol!!! I've never had a real tree (maybe when I was a kid). Mine is fake, makes no mess and I don't have to worry about watering it and what to do with it once Xmas is over except lug it down the stairs and put it in the storage room. It even has built in lights and fiber optic lights. Get a fake one. So much better. What kind of decorations do you have for it? Are you a color scheming, everything matches person or a anything and everything girl???  |

LOL We don't 'hang' our tree from the ceiling. It has a tree stand, we just attach it to a hook on the ceiling so it doesn't fall over like it did a few years ago and squashed some of the gifts and poured water over others. Also it keeps the tree straight.
Next year we are either going to get the kind of tree that I like or go fake.
My decorations are not colour coordinated. Most of them are home made. Every year each of us picks out a new ornament that sort of represents the past year. I do like white lights though and ribbon. We got a tacky angel this year - she changed colour.
How about you? Colour coordinated tree? What kind of ornaments? light?

Now, do you really think I am the kind of person that is going to color coordinate my tree??? ;D I don't have an angel, I have a snowflake that lights up. I have preschool decorations that Em made for me the last few years, lots of Rudolph decos because I really love that red nosed fella, snowflakes, some Dora stuff, Santa's clothes hanging from a little clothesline, and a whole wack of other stuff. Nothing matches with anything and IMO it's the best damn looking tree in the world. LOL!!!! |

We just started playing 'origins' last night. It is a typical silent hill game so far but I am a big fan so I am enjoying it. I think we are going to get a PS3 so that we can have the blu-ray as well since it seems to be taking over the movie store shelves.
Did you get any cool games for Christmas?

I should be around a bit today. I'm just trying to find out if there's school today with all the snow. Some schools have been canceled. Better not be my school. First day back with the monsters and school will be closed....not if I can help it.  I got some cool games....Silent Hill Homecoming (which I am stuck on at the moment) I bought Left 4 Dead, Alone In The Dark and borrowed a few off Matt. If I ever get around to most of them will be the problem. Oh I bought Dead Rising yesterday. Killing off zombies in a mall....my dream. |

We have Alone in the Dark too but I haven't played much of it. We are hooked on Mario Kart for the Wii right now. Every spare second is racing! LOL
