I LOVE the Loch Ness Monster. ;D "Along with Bigfoot and the Yeti, the Loch Ness Monster is one of the best-known mysteries of cryptozoology." In the early part of the 1930's a new road was built around Loch Ness which in turn brought in a spate of new sightings from road users and sightseers. Up until this time stories of the monster circulated more within the local community but talk of other sightings were spreading outwith the village. The first recorded sighting of Nessie on land was made by Mr Spicer and his wife, on July 22nd 1933, who were driving down the road between the Loch Ness side villages of Dores and Inverfarigaig. They caught sight of a large cumbersome animal crossing the road ahead, which was some 20 yards from the water. They first saw a long neck, forming a number of arches, a little thicker than a elephant's trunk and a huge lumbering body heading towards the Loch. It disappeared into the bushes out of sight.

Did you give him a good smack for that one? LOL Where the heck can you get a Nessie shirt??? I want one.
I don't have sound right now on my computer, I switched monitors and accidently unplugged the speakers and have no idea where they plug back in. ;D But I watched it though. I wonder if that is real? That would be so cool. Damn speakers, I wish I knew what they were saying.

I just read in my paper that some rich British man named William Hill is offering a reward of 2.14 million dollars to anyone who can prove that Nessie exists. And then it goes on about how his company is donating 50,000 instant cameras for Nessie fans who are attending some Nessie festival at the Loch.
Can you imagine how many "sighting" there will be now. This is exciting. LOL ;D

EDINBURGH, Scotland (AP) -- Like tartan, bagpipes, and shortbread Scotland's Loch Ness Monster is as much an emblem as a tourist draw. And now Nessie's back. An amateur scientist has captured what Loch Ness Monster watchers say is among the finest footage ever taken of the elusive mythical creature reputed to swim beneath the waters of Scotland's most mysterious lake. "I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this jet black thing, about 45-feet (15 meters) long, moving fairly fast in the water," said Gordon Holmes, the 55-year-old a lab technician from Shipley, Yorkshire, who took the video this past Saturday. youtube.com/watch?v=-RDJlYD0-xYNow I totally want to believe that Nessie is real but you would think that when she 'surfaced' more of her would show up being so big and all.

Who would of thought that after hundreds of years, global warming would kick Nessie in the ass. You would think she would be stronger than that. " Feb 13 2008 By Bob Dow LEGENDARY Nessie hunter Robert Rines is giving up his search for the monster after 37 years. The 85-year-old American will make one last trip in a bid to find the elusive beast. After almost four decades of fruitless expeditions, he admitted: "Unfortunately, I'm running out of age." World War II veteran Robert has devoted almost half his life to scouring Loch Ness. He started in 1971. The following year, he watched a 25ft-long hump with the texture of elephant skin gliding through the water. His original trip was to help another monster hunter with sonar equipment and quickly identified large moving targets. He was smitten and returned the next year, which is when, he says: "I had the misfortune of seeing one of these things with my own eyes." Since then, he has been obsessed with tracking down the creature with a staggering array of hi-tech equipment. It was this gear that took the famous "flipper" picture that year which created a stir around the world. Despite having hundreds of sonar contacts over the years, the trail has since gone cold and Rines believes that Nessie may be dead, a victim of global warming. He still wants to check almost 100 contacts on the floor of the loch, believing one may be the monster's remains." www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/2008/02/13/veteran-loch-ness-monster-hunter-gives-up-86908-20317853/
