From other reviews that I read on this movie I was expecting to be diappointed. I was a big fan of Silence of the Lambs in the 80's and so usually the prequel doesn't do a movie justice. I must admit that I was very surprised just how much I enjoyed this movie. The cinematography was excellent. I liked the whole WW2 setting. Great movie! Anyone else see this one?

I've only seen 'Silence'. There all on my list though. Maybe in about 5 years. ;D

I corrected your title Hannibal Rising was not nearly as disastrous as the stupid critics said it would be, in fact I thought it was quite good. Without giving anything away I thought that the scene where Hannibal becomes aware that he was party to the same act that greatly disturbed him was done brilliantly. It could have gone either way but he chose the descent into madness. Great storyline.
