Remote viewing is the purported ability of a viewer to gather information on a remote target consisting of an object, place, or person, undetectable to the viewer through traditional senses, and often separated by distance or time.[1][2] The Parapsychological Association describes it as a form of extra-sensory perception, usually attempted during experiments in which the participant tries to describe a distant location or the surroundings of a distant agent. The term "remote viewing" was introduced by Russell Targ and Harold Puthoff in 1974.[3] As with other forms of extra-sensory perception, the existence of remote viewing is disputed by critics. [glow=green,2,300]1.) I've actually known someone who could do this -- with amazing, if not disturbing, accurate detail.
2.) It is reported that the US government spent money and effort in developing a project in which remote viewers were located and used for military purposes; later the government said they abandoned the project. I'm convinced this last bit is propaganda meant to make people think they gave up the project when in fact it's probably thriving more than ever -- but quite secretly.
3.) The previous two points beg a very important question: Why Bin Laden has allegedly not been located. I get the distinct impression we've located him on numerous occasions, but haven't been going after him. And that pisses me off rather badly, for obvious reasons.[/glow]

Ed Dames has his critics and I admit that I'm waiting to be 'wowed' by any of his predictions BUT it is interesting that he was able to get the US govt to look at alternative methods of locating things, RV, in his case. Interesting, but there are people who Dames taught who are more impressive.
