This place is known as "High Chaparel" and is allegedly the most haunted place in the area. It's only about a mile ( if that ) from my house. It was a beautiful Fall day here yesterday, so I decided to go on a little bit of a "spooky" journey. My first stop was the cemetary, and although I DID snap a few interesting pictures, I wanted to share these first. The story goes, that back in the mid-late 1800's a young woman and her husband lived there. The husband was sent off to the war, was killed and his body never returned. Down a steep embankment and across the road are Rail Road tracks. Legend has it that the woman, dressed in a long flowing white nightgown, wandered out of the house late one night in her state of sorrow and in an attempt to drown herself in nearby Pine Creek, was instead hit and decapitated by a train. They say that on certain moonlit nights, you can her her crying...and if you look up the embankment, through the trees and onto the wrap around porch, you can see a transparent figure dressed in a long, flowing white gown... Do you see anything?

That house is amazing! I would have loved to seen that.
Thank you so much for sharing these pics. We need to start a section where our members check out these locations, like with Ted's tour of the Donnelly Farm.
Did you feel anything while you were there?

Awesome pictures Krissy! Personally I couldn't see anything but the sun's reflection but I'm no good at seeing anything in these pics. Is it creepy there? would you ever go visit it at night? Does anyone live there now? ;D Angie, we should make a special section about that. We would already have three topics with this post, Ted's thread and my Trethewy House one. Might be a good idea to throw at the big boss guy.
