This one is very near and dear to me. A very high profile story here in Canada, especially in Ontario. In the early 90's there was a rash of rapes and murders in Southern Ontario. A few school girls disappeared without a trace and the province was in a tizzy, looking out for a bronze coloured camaro and giving their children strict curfews. Soon enough the Police have not only one suspect but two. A husband and wife. Both good looking, successful individulas living in the upperclass section of Niagra on the Lake. You know they could have revoked her plea bargain after they found out about her responsibility in the death of her sister (which she didn't disclose when she confessed). The Authorites also became aware of several other rapes/assaults that she was involved in after the fact why didn't they punish her for that? |

Not just by the crime spree, which was sickening enough -- but at the justice system for allowing that bitch a loophole to get out of jail. Just because her husband beat her up doesn't excuse her from participating in torture and murder. To the guy who held those tapes back until "Barbie" got her plea-deal: I hope your microscopic balls shrivel and fall off, since you don't seem to need them anyway.
I'm still trying to get over the grotesque news that this waste of oxygen has had a baby. That's just so wrong on so many levels. If you tell me she named it after the sister she murdered, I'm going to puke, so please don't tell me.[/glow]

I think she had a boy. And it was only last year I think she had him.
I remember she was ALL over the news when she was released. Personally I don't think she should of gotten that kind of coverage. A news warning that she was released and living in the area is enough.

A news warning that she was released and living in the area is enough. She was only released a year ago last July (so July 06). Already she has managed to wrangle a guy and have a kid??? Before this guy she was involved with a guy who is a murderer in a Montreal Prison. Sounds to me like she didn't learn anything from her twelve very short years in prison. There is a website that follows her around and posts her pics to show us what she looks like now and what she is doing. I say that bitch deserves NO peace. What I meant by saying that she shouldn't get any more news coverage than needed is that I don't think she should be celebrated in any way even if it is on the news. She probably likes the fact that she's on tv. The hounding I agree on, make her life hell, but I don't think she should get any more tv face time. Make any sense or should I just stop typing today? ;D

Oh wow, that link if for a forum. Are you a member? I'm not a member. YET. I have been just perusing and seeing what it was like. There is tons of stuff there, might take me awhile. I totally see what you mean. She deserves nothing positive with the media. Unfortunately there are 'sympathizers' out there that feel bad for her like certain womans' groups and such. They are the ones that give her good publicity by making her out to be a victim. Personally I think she is the one who murdered the girls. Paul claims that he wanted to keep Kristen longer as he was highly attracted to her. Karla disagreed because she wanted to go to her parents for Easter dinner and refused to leave Kristen at their house alone. The night before, on Saturday, Paul went out to get some movies and food and claims that when he came back Kristen was dead. Karla claims that Paul killed her an hour before they left for the Homolka's on the Sunday. The Medical Examiner has already proven that she died from strangulation from a cord, she was flipped over on her stomack and choked from behind and you know what? There were two bruises on Kristen's spine consistant with Karla's knee size. I think Karla was jealous and killed her. The night prior to this Paul made Karla sleep on the floor and Kristen slept in Karla's side. I can totally see Karla being the killer. |

I need to read my book again, I have forgotten most of the things. Refresh my memory Ang, did Paul kill any of the girls outright or was it all accidental blah blah blah. I know that her sister choked on her vomit right?
I remember from what I read that she seemed a very jealous person. And having been made to sleep on the floor while 'the slave' got the bed, I am sure would of pissed her off.
What book did you say is the best one to read about the case?

I believe it is 'Invisible Darkness' by Stephen Williams. There are transcripts from the video, so it is very accurate, very gruesome but the truest form of the story that you can get.
All of Paul's highschool friends said that Paul always talked about having what he called a 'Virgin Farm' where he would have many young girls/virgins for his own use. Also he was the Scarborough rapist for years. He raped many girls BUT never killed them. He didn't 'kill' his victims until Karla came into his life. To me that says alot.
I think that Paul had his own version of his virgin farm with the girls he abducted. He planned on keeping them atleast until they got old enough to lose his interest. Karla wanted them gone.
With Leslie who was their 14 year old victim, they got rid of her before their wedding. Paul was talking about cancelling their honeymoon or atleast postponing it so that he could keep Leslie. Karla would have none of it. They also found bruises on her back consistant with Karla's knee size and weight. Odd don't you think?
I think she had more motive to kill them than paul did,
