Oh man, you didn't say there was a picture of the boy in the box. I haven't read the whole story yet. I'll have to do that a bit later. I'm sad already though.

Yes I should say that within that website that there are more pictures of the boy and the aren't for the weary. Of course they had to release them to see if anyone would recognize him. Very sad case. Makes me think it was a parent or caregiver.

I'll have to read it more in detail tonight. I kinda just skimmed through it.
I don't mind the pictures. Just little 4 year olds who have passed kinda hit me the wrong way.

I think any Mother would feel the same way.

The pictures they have of him dressed up remind me of a news story I saw a year or two back. A little girl was found in the dumpster and they dressed her up and released her photo in hopes that some one would reconize her. I can still see that photo in my mind.

I haven't gone through the whole site yet and just quickly read the story but I didn't notice anything about an autopsy on the boy. Did they do one? Did the injuries match up with the story that Mary told about the boy in the bathtub?

Yes, from what I read (mind you I am no forensic expert) it does match up to Mary's story. There was a brown unidentified substance in the esophigus and according to Mary the boy had eaten baked beans just before his bath and threw them up. Also his two feet and one hand were all wrinkled like they had been emersed in water for some time and Mary said that he was in the bath. I believe that there were other links but I can't remember them all.
The problem with Mary's story is that she is mentally ill and so the investigators aren't taking her so seriously. The way I see it, if she endured the type of childhood that she described then I can see why she is unwell. Also some of these detail were released many years ago, maybe Mary heard them back then? Who knows. Her story makes sense to me.
