Beleive it or not I have never read the book 'In Cold Blood' by Truman Capote. I am a true crime nut and so you think I would have read this classic. Still, I have read quite abit about this story, I saw the movie when I was young and recall my Mom talking about this case. One of my all time favorite books and movies. Not a particularly spectacular crime, as these things go, but still Capote did a great job of bringing it forward and making it memorable (sounds callous of me, don't mean it that way!)

I just watched Infamous not too long ago. Great movie, have you watched it Swampie? Does it follow along closely to the book and to what Capote says?

There's an American Justice (or something like that) on later this week about the Clutter family. I'm going to watch it and then probably have to get all the books and watch all the movies. I'm just warning you now.

I watched the American Justice about the Clutters. Could of been because I was sitting through a horrible headache while I was watching it but I didn't find it overly exciting. I'll have to see if I can come across the book and give it a shot.
I do find American Justice to be crappy at times too though. I can be super into a case and AJ can ruin the whole thing for me. They do show some good photos at times though.

At the time it was a shocking crime, especially to murder a whole family in their own home while they are in bed. Also the fact that the author gets into a relationship with the one murderer is strange, especially at that day in age.

I think I missed that part of the docu. Really? Interesting.... It's possible that tidbit didn't make it on American Justice......Gay relationships back in that day between a famous writer and a convicted murderer on death row weren't common, or if they were they weren't made public.
