There was so much hope in modernism. Today, the future is presented as doom and gloom but back in the day people had put a war behind them, were becoming wealthy and looking toward space exploration and modernization of everything. Sometimes I feel like we're living the nightmare and need to wake up. Anyways, here are some car ads: Looks like these people just left a real party! I like this one a lot. Notice the Jetson's like roof (Mid Century Modern) mixed with the tropical plants (polypop inspired) and the SpacePort in the background? Check out the house, flat roof, suave Mondrian inspired color blocks in the house design. The people are always dressed up and everything is so clean. I'll post more later. Oh, If you ever get a chance to thumb through All American Ads of the 60's you should, it's fun!

Everything just seemed more 'wholesome' back then didn't it?
