How did the move go?
I hope it went as smooth as possible! Moving sucks & I have never moved more than a few miles between homes I can't even imagine how yours was.

Did you take any photos of any weird dead unknown animals that were on the side of the road?? See any weird looking hitchhikers? UfO's? Anything?

LOL I made a post yesterday about the move and I have no clue where it is. I am on dial up so maybe it didn't even post. I'll have to rewrite and post it again when I find a minute. In short it went well. We left Winnipeg Sunday at noon and got to Orillia Tuesday at noon. We stopped both Sunday and Monday nights at hotels, slept in and left around noon. It wasn't too bad except that the truck was 26 feet long with a trailer on teh back for our car. Needless to say it was hard to park and navigate and Tim Horton's parking lots just aren't big enough. I havea few good stories that I'll have to tell you later. No weird stuff and the only wild life was a was a dead wolf and a fox running on the side of the road. Maybe too cold - who knows. Right now I am homeless with all my furniture in storage and living out of our luggage at families places until next weekend and then I will hook up my computer again. Dial up sucks but I will be online every day or two.

I was on and off all day yesterday and didn't see any post about the move. Dial up is evil. Did you have a fun trip though? I'm dying to go on a car trip again. Tim Hortons really need to fix their drive thru's. the hubby has what Em calls the "Monster Truck" and he can't fit into drive thru's with it either. With the Timmy's around here I can't even imagine you parking your truck and trailer even near any of them. So next week your at your mom's?

Ya we didn't even attempt the drive thru in the U-Haul. It was just way too big and hard to turn. We had to park at a Beer store a block away once just to go to Tim Horton's. Also in Orillia the streets are small and they got a ton of snow which makes the roads even narrower. We almost squashed a few small cars then too. ;D Dial up SUCKS monkey butt. I turned on the computer, went and made a sandwich, came back turned on the internet.....ate my sandwich and still had to wait a minute or two after that just to turn the damn thing on! Also my Dad is a bit of a health freak and I had this mad sugar craving...guess what? no junk food so I am eating dried apricots, I am considering dipping them in sugar, what do you think? I am going to my Mom's in Orillia on Sunday and I will hook up my computer then, next week I will be around to catch up. I'll be unemployed and happy (atleast til I run out of money). I believe that my Mom has high speed internet at least. Anyways I must take the dog out for a pee. No fenced yard so I'm leashing him and he has to sniff every little stone or branch around. Also we are on a lake and it's a little too cold for a swim yet and Meho isn't bright enough not to go running out on the very thin ice. Talk to you guys soon. happy St. patricks day.

ewww dried apricots. That's just wrong. I feel for you having to leash up Meho. My dog is well over 2 years old and I still have to leash her to pee. If she gets off her leash I'll never see her again. And I hate the whole sniffing everything and finding just the right spot to poop. We have a big fenced yard that we could just let her out the back door to go pee but she's terrified of going down the back steps. She panics just going near them. Does your Dad still own the store? You must be so happy to see him especially with what happened last year with him.

You must be so happy to see him especially with what happened last year with him. Here's the ironic part; He owns the junk food store in town full of ice cream, slurpees, chips, chocolate, pop and yet he has none of it in his house. I am now eating wheat and honey pretzel sticks. How sick is that? My parents just went to the next town to buy a new washer and dryer since I was kind enough to overload their 28 year old washer on Saturday . I was telling them that I had memories of making forts out of the two large cardboard boxes that they came in when I was 4 years old. They were antiques man. Really I did them a favour. Anyways while they are gone I feel like finding the nearsest gas staion and overloading on crap food. What is it about being at home that makes me want to eat like that? Maybe it's because my cupboards at home in Winnipeg were full of everything you can think of. It was there and I didn't have to eat it but now that it's not within reach I feel deprived of a necessity. ;D Kiki's Easter stuff is 5 feet away hidden in the library cupboard and I could so easily steal a bunny ear or something. Also I just went for a nice long walk in town with my sister. They forget that I have been a flatlander for four years and they are leading me up these gigantic hills. Kiki was saying 'just leave me here to die' about three quarters of the way up the hill. It was pretty sad. I am in baaaaad shape my friends. Well, off I go to forage for sweets........

LOLOL, I love the part about Kiki saying "leave me here to die." Freakin' hilarious. I know now if you ever come to visit I will never take you to 1001 Steps down to the ocean. It's not 1001 steps but 249 or something like that. It's a killer. If we both went, we would never come back....we would camp out on stair 132 until a helicopter came for us. ;D I miss seeing you around during the week. I am getting more housework done though.

Glad to hear the move went well. It must be nice to be close to your family again. I can't imagine being that far away from mine, although on some days.....
Just kidding ;D

Hi guys,
Just wanted to updateyou on thesituation. I am at my Mom's place. Kiki just startedschool yesterday and so I took the day to set up the computer. I wasquite proud of myself when I set it up correctly the first time but then Windows wasn't working so I had to call HP. I was on the phone for overtwo hours and we figurethat we have a motherboard problem. The computer is being picked up today for repairs and I should have it back in one week. So for now I will check in as often as I can but since this is the office computer that I am using right now I won't getaccess too often.
Miss you all. Sorry for my prolonged absence.
