A Man named Dave. I like this one almost better than the first two. I'm so glad you liked those books. Next time he's on Oprah though you gotta tell me. I never watch Oprah but would of loved to seen it.

Curiosity got the best of me with that book. It took awhile to get through it. I'm having a real hard time with the Tom Cruise book too. Him and Nicole just adopted their daughter so I'm hoping it will pick up a bit soon.

I've always been curious about Tom and Nicole and their adopting kids....why did she adopt? We know now that she can biologically have kids, did they do it because they really wanted to for a good cause or because she didn't want to get pregnant being a working celeb and all?

We know now that she can biologically have kids, did they do it because they really wanted to for a good cause or because she didn't want to get pregnant being a working celeb and all? According to the book Nicoles mom had a really hard time having babies.....miscarriages etc. Nicole had an ectopic pregnancy with Tom and the doctors feared with her mom's history and the high chances of Nicole having another ectopic pregnancy that she shouldn't try because it could kill her if not caught soon enough. That's according to this book. If that's true maybe when she got pregnant with Keith Urban's baby, she was closely monitored for it. Also it mentions in the book that a lot more can be done with an ectopic pregnancy now then 10 years before.

Secrets in the CellarIt's the story about that guy from Austria who kept his daughter in the cellar for 20 some odd years and had 7 children with her or something. I know it's been all over the news here...the trial and stuff. Have you heard about it? I just started the book and so far so good.

I found this link that shows abit about the cellar... sixtyminutes.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=571469I'll have to look at that link tomorrow. I have to run. BTW I am here tomorrow most of the day so if you want to meet up that would be nice. I just have to run to the store in the morning and then I will be here. Anyway...the book is really good. I'm going to make a thread about it in the true crime section tomorrow and we can discuss it more there. I'll see if my mom wants to keep the book (it's hers) and if she doesn't want it I can send it your way if you want to read it.

I am reading 'Out of Captivity'. A story about three men who survive almost two thousand days being held prisoner in the Columbian jungle. I bought the book for my Dad to read while he was in Cuba and he loved it and gave it to me to read. My Step Mom started the 'Dave Pelzer' books in Cuba. She said that she was getting so pissed off reading the books that she had to order double drinks a few times. They were here yesterday and I gave her the third book to read.

So after I finished chapter one of 'Out of Captivity' Kris stole it from me. Now I am reading Maureen McCormick's biography 'Here's the story'. If you don't recognize her name she played Marcia Brady on The Brady Bunch. Good book so far.

You didn't get to finish 'Out of Captivity'? What a bugger, stealing it from you! ;D I wish my hubby would read books because then I could have someone at home to discuss them with. I'm just reading fluff right now. Okay, it's vampire fluff but it's still fluff.

I just finished 'Losing it' by Vallerie Bertanelli (celebrity and ex wife of Eddie Van Halen. Good book. I can identify with her food issues. Good to see how great she looks now after her Jenny Craig diet. Hopefully she doesn't turn out like Kirstie Alley.
