In a word, yes! It's one of the spookiest books i've ever read though not in an 'in your face' way. It's more like creeping death  |

I really want to read this book. My sister read it years ago and got rid of the book right away, she didn't want it in her house. Another one i want to read is 'In a Dark Place' but I am having trouble finding that one at any of the bookstores, I think it's out of print.

Your story reminds me of that Friends episode where Joey reads the Shining and sticks it in his freezer because he's so scared.

If that's the case, he sure is a slow reader! I wonder if we will ever get the review for it. His "creeping death" comment has got me wanting to read it so bad. |

Alright, I ordered it from the bookstore on the weekend. It should be here in 10-14 days. I'm really hoping that "The Haunting of Hill House" is the same book because that's the only one they could find from Shirley Jackson. It better be good too or else I'm coming for you Carnie!! |

I got the book over the weekend and started it yesterday. I'm hoping they are the same book and i am not reading something totally different. Now I'll be able to tell you all if the book is really creepy or if Carnie is just a big girly man. |
