The Changeling is way up at the top of my list followed by The Shining.

Good picks Holly! Also two of my top 10 I'm going to have to think about this one.......
I really liked the Blair Witch Project. We camp a lot in tents and there is always sounds in the woods that make me wonder what is out there. When I saw this movie at the theatre for the first time I didn't sleep that night.

I hate the chick from the Grudge. She bothers me.

Surprisingly enough I would have rated your choices (Holly) in my top five. George C was great in the changeling. Very spooky film.
I like The Shining, Exorcist3, The Innocents, The Haunting (1963 version), Kill Baby Kill, Rosemary's Baby etc.
I can't pick a favorite... it's my favorite genre.

OH! If you all haven't seen The Descent yet, you need to. It's no classic or anything but it's the best modern horror film I've seen in a long time.

OH! If you all haven't seen The Descent yet, you need to. It's no classic or anything but it's the best modern horror film I've seen in a long time. Figures that the first to die was a woman named Holly. As soon as I heard that name, I said she would be the first to go. ;D

The Exorcist was kinda freaky. For me, the scariest part was when she came down the stairs bent over backwards and you could hear her nails tapping before you saw her. That bothered me.
