I LOVE John Candy and I miss him tremendously.
I have watched Uncle Buck 14,837 times and I still can't get enough of the man's comic genius.
Don't get me started on Planes, Trains and Automobiles either.

John's daughter is now breaking into the biz. She's a producer at SCTV and is taking to the stage as her dad did in the early days. On johncandy.com you can see some footage of her talking about her career and her day HERE.Lots of other John video and info on that site.

[glow=blue,2,300]John Candy .. I miss him so, too. He was so wonderful, and very well known for being approachable, accessible to his public. This man had a huge heart, loved people, and loved 'giving back.' He lived life "all the way," and had he lived longer, I bet he would have continued acting until he dropped; the world was only beginning to see the true scope of his talents.
The honesty in his acting was so open, realistic, beautiful. He was truly a rare man in an industry that all too often includes those of emotional larceny and narcissism. There will never be another John Candy. But I thank God for the short time he was with us, because he left true gifts behind. One of my faves (and I think it's terribly overlooked) is "Summer Rental." If you haven't seen it yet, see it.[/glow]
