Winds are supposed to get to 100+km today. I live in an area where if you sneeze near a power pole, the power will go out. I don't care if the power goes out I just want it to wait until the cable man has come and fixed my box. That sounded lovely didn't it? Any snow yet Ang?

Yeppers. We got snow about a week and a half ago. Enough to snowblow it once and to shovel another. It looks very Christmassy here and the ski hills just opened last Friday.
We went down to Niagara Falls this weekend for Kris' company Christmas party. We stayed at this awesome hotel with a gigantic waterpark. There was no snow down there at all and it's about 2.5 hours from where I live. Then we went to the next town over where I was born and first lived and looked at the house where I lived and my Dad's first grocery store. Our old place was on this mountain and teh view from the living room was right across lake Ontario and the Toronto skyline with the CN Tower right smack dab in the middle. Then there is a cherry orchard beside our place and I remember picking cherries there when I was just 3. Kind of cool that we are back in our province and can take the time to do that sort of thing.

That's pretty cool. Looking back at the old house you first lived in. Probably seemed a lot smaller now though huh? Can I come play in the snow? Actually our forecast says we might get a bit if snow later in the week. It'll change, I'm sure.

We have a crazy amount of snow here. Guess who lives in a snow belt? ? We got about 30 cm yesterday. Not to mention all the snow we've had these past few weeks. After running on the treadmill this morning I looked out the front window to see a pile of snow - thatnks to the snow plow - at the end of my driveway. So out I went with my shovel and worked an extra 40 minutes just to knock it down and move it. It's that really heavy chunky snow. When is spring coming? ? I am just thankful that I put snow tires on the Camry! Do you have any snow?

Okay so I am a wimp. Since we got snow over a month ago I have been driving the Jeep. So yesterday Kris was in Calgary and I was stuck with the Camry and had to drive across town to get Kiki from her Grandma's house. Eventhough we put snow tires on the car I dread driving it in the snow. The ABS stopped working last year and it doesn't have 4 wheel drive. Also I like to mention that I have been a flat-lander for the past 4 years and am not used to hills anymore. So I had 3 little ones in the back and I'm sliding sideways down hills. I would spin my tires on the ice at intersections and once I got through the light as it was turning yellow (I was the first in line at the lights : . So I am asking Santa for a 4 wheel drive 7 passenger vehicle. PLEEEAAAASE Santa!!!!!

I don't drive much in the snow because we don't always get a whole lot of it. But I have been known to pull a few dougnuts back in the day when I didn't drive a monster van that could tip. ;D Do you have to drive a lot in the snow? You be careful!!!!

In the 'Peg I drove alot in the snow but it was flat there and very cold which means less slippery. Here we have so much more snow and it's warmer so there is more ice and slush. Also in Winnipeg the school was 2 blocks away as opposed to 10 minutes away from our house here and the Mall was the furthest I'd drive and it was just down the street.
When we lived in Timmins we had wicked winters there and I used to drive all the time. I am getting wimpy in my old age. I think I need to retire to Arizona or something.
