16 years ago, today, I got my driver's licence. Never had a speeding ticket or any infractions (although I should have - once I backed out of a parking space at Blockbuster and hit a cop car).
I remember the day I earned my freedom. Good times..........

YAYAYAYAYA!!! Happy driver's license anniversary!!!! ;D ;D (although I should have - once I backed out of a parking space at Blockbuster and hit a cop car). Now how the heck did you manage to get out of that one? I have 11 years, no wait 12 years ( I got my license when I was 17, my mom made me wait a year because I failed math...again.) I had a driving teacher who was much older and like to tell me about his hemorrhoid pillow and his many girlfriends. Then once I got my license my parents helped me buy my first car which was a Hyundai Stellar and standard. My dad used to take my down to the river and stop me on these crazy hills and make me start without rolling back. I frickin' rock at standard now and love driving it. (thanks Dad!!) Then I got a Nova. A big old boat of a car that I got for cheap because my best friends grandma let me have it for barely anything. I called it "Cassie" Nova. I got off on a ticket once because my dimples saved the day. Other than that one time I have never been pulled over. Now tell me about backing into a cop car?

LOL @ your driving instructor. Sounds like an interesting character to say the least. You are lucky that you are a pro at driving standard. I am terrible at it. Kris taught me in his first car which was a decked out Mazda 626 and it's clutch was in bad shape and soon needed to be replaced. Everytime I screwed up I saw Kris' veins in his forehead protrude and so I didn't have as good of an instructor as you! My first car was a Honda Accord. My Dad helped me buy it too. Only he wasn't crazy about me buying a car since I racked up all my credit cards not too long before. But I went behind his back and bought it anyways (I saw her on the car lot and KNEW she was mine) then he thought that I made a great choice in car and didn't want to see me making payments so he paid for it. LOVE my Dad. My second car is the Camry that I still drive. I bought it from my Dad when he wanted to trade it in for a new one. Next year though I will have to sell it. It is 14 years old now.
