Did you read the book yet? I loooved the book! I watched the movie last night too and it made me cry like a little girl! The movie is pretty much exactly the same as the book which was nice because they always switch things aroundn when they adapt from the book. So get on it so we can talk about it. Oh and while the movie was good....the book was much much better. Won't say much more until you've seen it, read it. ;D

I don't think it's on at the theatre anymore. I am almost finished reading My Sister's Keeper and then I want to read The Lovely Bones and then I will read The Road. By then maybe itw ill be out on dvd? Glad you liked it though. Kris raved about the book and is anxious to see the movie too.

The Road was a great book. I leant it to my Dad, hopefully he will like it. There were some really dark, depressing parts to that book. The one with the headless baby on the spit, I had to read something lighter after that bit just to clear my head. Same with the crawlspace full of people just waiting to be the next meal. Crazy, but the book was so good. Glad I finally got it and read it.

I'm glad you liked it because I thought it was awesome! I'm glad I read it before I saw the movie too. i'll definitely read it again.
The baby on the spit stuck with me for awhile. Just the image of it that I had in my mind.
I totally felt too the despair and helplessness from the characters. while I read it I was constantly thinking of what I would do in that situation.

Yes...the helplessness...perfect, that's exactly what I felt too. I can't believe how similar the book and the movie were. I mean of course the book was better but it followed the same storyline which rarely happens.
