Hockey

I've never been one to watch Hockey but we are so hooked on it. The hubby has gotten into it because it makes him sit down and relax for a few hours a few nights a week. (he needs that!) And we are all hooked.

So tonight if the Canucks don't beat the Blackhawks, we're done. No more hockey for us. And just when we were getting into it too.
Go Canucks Go! LOLOLOL!!!

Now you sound like my Mom. She is a hockey nut. We are not even allowed to talk when the game is on and it's been like that for as long as I can remember. She is a Leafs fan though (her fridge door even plays the hockey night in Canada song when you open it) but since the leafs are out she is cheering for Washington. Kris is cheering for Pittsburgh. I don't watch hockey so I am cheering for the end of the season.

So if the Canucks are out you are going to quit watching? No second favourites? You should go and see a game live. I've been to a Leaf game and even as a non fan I had fun. The only thing is tickets are expensive.

Nah, I have no second favorites. But I would root for a Canadian team once the Canucks are out. After all the Canadian teams are out I will just root for the team whose jerseys are the best. LOL! Kidding. ;D No I think once the Canucks are out that will be it for till next season.

I just don't want the Canucks to lose to the BlackHawks. My uncle (who I only ever see on Xmas and even then it's a pain to be in the same room as him) has always been a die hard Blackhawks fan. Their logo reminds me of my Uncle and I hope the Canucks whoop their butt!!

I told the kid I care for that I bought the Phoenix Coyotes and renamed them the Phoenix Ladybugs and that their new jerseys are red and black and they have antennas on their helmets. He still believes me. I am soooo mean!!! ;D ;D ;D

I'll never get the 'die hard' fan. First of all it's not like all the Leafs players are from Toronto, or even Canada for that matter. Most of the players are Russian.

My stepbrother was a huge Blackhawks/Jeremy Roenick fan, so much so that he was buried in his jersey. In a way it is cooler than a suit which would have never looked right on him anyways.

You guys have a lot of die hard Canuck fans out there. I see a lot of disappointed people on Facebook this morning after lastnights game.

I know of a few people who cried last night. Bawled like babies because we lost. It's a game, there's always next year. Sure it's disappointing but only because we (my family) just started getting into it and now it's done. Pooey!!

When I go out with Em we count the Canucks flags we see on cars. We can drive for maybe 5 minutes and see well into the 20's the number of flags on cars in support of the Canucks. It's like every second car has a flag or 4. Canuck mania is crazy out here.

Silly Uncle M got us hooked again this year. It's only the pre-season but we've been watching. Unless Uncle M is here we usually only watch the last period though. Too much stuff going on in the house around 7pm. There was a time a few weeks ago though that I wasn't even allowed to peek at the game because every time I did, they lost. Good thing they won a couple while I was watching. I would be banned from hockey for life!

Wow it is early to be watching hockey loyally, although my Mom watches it religiously. We will check the score on a game but rarely watch until playoffs.

I'm not normally a fan. But I do root for the Canucks. If it's on and I am home and I remember I will peek at the score here and there. I could easily miss a game and not worry about it. I would much rather just watch the last period than the whole game.

I'm somewhat of a hockey fan I guess you would call it. ;D

Kiki had her first hockey game yesterday. Just to motivate her I told her I'd give her $.25 for each time she touched the puck, $.50 for each shot on net and $1.00 for each goal. She ended up with $2.75, two shots on net and 7 passes. She did well, fell a few times but grabbed her stick and jumped back up. I don't think we sat down much if at all, it was just too exciting.

That's awesome! If you keep that deal you may be owing her quite a bit of money after a little practice!

That's great! I hope that they win - I'd like to see a Canadian team win and we cewrtainly can't count on the maple Leafs.... ;D

One of my neighbours has a Canucks banner on their house. I haven't heard anything about playoffs - usually my Mom fills me in.

i think Ottawa is in the playoffs too.

I have no idea about Ottawa. Truthfully if it's not Canucks I don't pay that much attention. Besides watching the games, I dont pay that much attention to any of it. I'm a fan but not a FAN! lol
