I got a real good taste of what a trainer does yesterday afternoon at practice. Kiki had a collision with a team mate and fell down. She ended up with bruised ribs and a minor concussion. Pretty scary stuff. Once her headache goes away she needs to stay off the ice for one week.

Oh No!!! Is she ok? Has her headache gone away?
Did she need to go to the hospital? That must of scared the crap out of you.

Oh and since hockey season has started I have those postcards still that I was going to send Kiki as a joke. I'll send the first one soon. I'll just put GO Canucks GO on it or something. She'll figure it out.

Or is that not cool anymore? LOL I don't want her to think I am s super LAME adult or anything. LOL

Yes, we did have to take her to emerge. She still has a headache - since Sunday afternoon when she fell. After the headache goes away she can return to play 7 days after that. She went to school today so I will see how she feels when she gets home. She is pretty bummed about hockey.

Oh she is going to love that!

She started playing hockey last week again. She got about three good break aways in her first game. A good start.

She was pretty sure it was you but then one of my high school best friends lives in Vancouver and she and her husband are huge Canuck fans too and post often about the games so she was saying it could be Jude but I think it would be Holly. Jude doesn't talk much to kiki on facebook.

Just to spite you we went to build a bear on the weekend and she got a monkey dressed up in Penguin hockey gear - ha ha ha. I am sure you'll hear from her today.

Also she had a kick ass game on Friday night. The team that she played was very rough. They were tripping and checking and pushing and the refs weren't calling it at all. Our girls are taught to play a clean game so basically they were getting pushed around and not doing anything about it. The centres especially (Kiki and another girl) were being targeted the most. In the end of the 2nd period Kiki got sick of seeing the carnage so after she got knocked down for the 3rd time she got right up, chased the girl down and tackled her from behind at centre ice. Before the ref could even call it she got up and skated to the penalty box. I was on the bench with the girls and I was trying to hide my face because I was smiling and laughing I was so proud but I had to not let others see me like that as I azm supposed to be a good role model - hahaha. The best part is all our teams parents were giving kiki high fives in the penalty box. Also she got an awesome goal to tie up the game in period three. Niiiiiice!
