This past weekend we put the dock in at my Dad's house....saw tons of dock spiders. Don't know how familliar you are with these but the run and swim fast. Our goal is to kill them cause if the get in the water with you they can outswim you for sure - lol.
I am trying to post a pic but photobucket is being sucky....I'll try later.

I've never heard of a dock spider. I'm a little worried though especially if it can swim faster than you!!! Hopefully photobucket smartens it's ass up. I want to see.

I have a huge spider outside just under the peak of the second story roof. Last week it just hung there from it's web and whenever we approached it the thing would lunge back and forth like it was going to jump on us. So I started chucking things at it. I broke part of it's web but lost a baseball bat and a few sticks on the roof in the process. Anyways this damned thing is still there. My Dad thinks it looks like a brown recluse spider and they are kind of territorial and dangerous. I think I am going to dig the pressure washer out today and blast a hole through the little fucker.

If you kill it, it's going to rain. Spiders are icky but I don't mind them if there not in the house or in my face. I was swatting wasps last night. I probably looked like some retarded ninja on my back porch. We were trying to play a game and they were coming at us like crazy. I took it upon myself to be the official "wasp ass kicker" and kept them away with my butterfly shaped flyswatter.

He'll be back. He's probably just hiding in a crack or something. He'll comes back once you think he's gone for good. Probably with babies. I was sitting down and a bee landed inbetween my legs. What's with bees and my crotch. My farts must smell like flowers or something. ;D ;D ;D

I know that they have been trying to spray the trees in our area. Also found a mountain of red ants. Made it my mission everyday to dig up their home and spray them.

THE LADYBUGS ARE COMING!!!!
Every year around this time we get swarmed by ladybugs. I don't know if they are migrating or what but our house gets covered in them. Not insane covered but there are tons of them. You can see them flying in the sky, there are 16 on my front window right now and earlier I counted 32 on my back porch. And we always get a couple that spend the winter in a corner in the bathroom.
At least they are ladybugs and not bees or something. Ladybugs I can live with.

I hear that the orange ones bite.

Mostly red ones. The orange ones bite? Really? I always thought they weren't mature ones or something. I thought the red hadn't really formed or something. LOL!! Shows you what I know. Note to self....don't let Em play with the orange ones! Thanks!

The orange ones are Asian and imported into Canada (or North America maybe?!?). I can't remember why they were imported, I think it was because they wanted to decrease the number of another kind of insect that was taking over and these damn orange ladybugs took right over. I rarely see a red one around here anymore. My Dad told me they bite but i haven't been bitten by one yet.

We went to the school today to play with another girl (she's 20, I can call her a girl) who does daycare. I was sitting in a chair looking at the girls and she was pointing the other way laying on a blanket watching the boys play. She sits up and says "what the hell is that?" I heard them before I saw them!! It was like a very low vibrating buzzing. I turned around and there is this big dark cloud of something flying towards us. It was thousands of bees!! I yell at the girls to come to us quicky because the bees were heading right in there direction. The bees just went right past us, close enough to touch if we really wanted too. It was the scariest freakin' thing ever. I thought of every horror movie I saw with killer bees and was trying to figure out how we would escape them if they attacked. But the bees totally ignored us. I always tell Em that bees know when she is scared so not to let them know she is scared and they won't bother her because everytime she sees one she freaks out and wants back in the house. So she is standing behind me yelling "I'm not afraid" over and over again. We packed up and got the hell out of there right after that.
It was freaky! I hate bees! But at the same time it was really awesome to see!

But at the same time it was really awesome to see! Okay..that would be freaky. No one got stung??? That is crazy. I remember watching a show...I think it was called swarms or something and it gave me bad dreams for about a week. If I were at that park with you I'd have to come home and change my pants. Last year at the cottage we had a few encounters with pine beetles. They are huge hard shelled beetles that can bite you and it really hurts. So this year I had myself all psyched up for it but we only saw maybe 4 or 5 all week (all inside the cottage). However the dock spiders were HORRENDOUS!!!!! They were huge and fast and all the neighbours knew when I saw one cause I would scream bloody murder and could be heard all teh way down the bay. There was a while there where I was rewarding Kiki with a chocolate bar when she would kill them. Ha ha ha. Those suckers can swim too let me tell ya......
