We have a lovely septic tank that everyone once in a while we have to hose out the filter. I have never had the pleasure in helping with that but the other week I had to help. GROSS!! Anyhoo, there are a ton of creepy crawlies in there and adn this huge black spider that I swore up and down is a black widow. When we got back from our vacation we were going to try to flip it over and check out it's belly. Luckily for us (because you know I would of been the one to get too close to the thing) we went to a bug zoo while were on vacation and learned about this little guy(ok, monster is more like it)The false black widow spider or mock spider. They like stinky places like outhouses and septic tanks. I think I might move. Oops. that first photo isn't the spider. You have to scroll down a bit.

You just gave me the full body goosebumps as Ispent a lot of time in the out house at the cottage and imagined all types of creepy crawlers were roaming around.
Did you kill it?

Nope, it would rain the next day! LOL We didn't kill it. I don't like to kill anything unless I have too. It's some irrational fear i have that it's friends and family would gang up on me and kill me in my sleep. Waaaay too many horror movies and books! Kidding.....kinda....sorta.

I dunno...if it has eight legs I feel I miust kill it. I leave most others alone but I have arachnophobia.
Kiki loves those bug zappers that looks like a tennis raquet - she kills every insect in sight - your friends and family may not like Kiki. Funy enough I feel bad for those bugs. ha ha ha

When were away this summer we went to a bug zoo. You could hold the bugs, they were huge! I decided if I was going to hold one I was going to be brave and hold the biggest nastiest ones. A giant millipede and a tarantula. I couldn't look at the tarantula as I was holding it and I just held it long enough to get a quick photo. It surprisingly was soft and really cool feeling, especially when it moved. HEEBIE JEEBIES!!!

You are braver than I am - I am giving you credit for sure!
I am not sure what is worse the trantula or the millipede....what do you think?

I am not sure what is worse the trantula or the millipede....what do you think? The trantual for sure. I knew it could bite me. The millipede wasn't too bad. I just held it in my hands. However you could wear him as a mustache and put it on your face! The hubby did that! So gross!
